Now, what’s Halitosis??
Halitosis is the condition of having foul smelling breath.
Halitosis can be very embarrassing and the most annoying part is that others may notice someone has halitosis before the person does.
Causes
1 Food: Food is an essential source which humans need to have energy.Food can also be a primary source of bad odors that come from the mouth.Some foods,such as garlic,spicy foods,onions,fish and acidic beverages (coffee)can leave a lingering odor.
2 Tobacco product
3 Poor oral health: When we were very little,we were told to brush twice daily.Trust me,it works. Halitosis may occur when a person does not brush or floss the teeth regularly,which could make food particles remaining in the mouth rot and eventually cause bad odors.
4 health problems: Research over the years has proven that health problems can lead to Halitosis.Sinus infection, pneumonia,sore throat,common cold,flu etc.can be associated with bad breath.
5 Dry mouth(xerostomia):Saliva helps to moisten and cleanse the mouth.It prevents the mouth from being dry,and whenthe body doesn’t produce enough saliva,then bad breath may occur. Dry mouth may be caused by salivary gland problem.

1 Dry mouth
2 unpleasant taste or change in taste
3 A white coating on the tongue
Treatment And Home Remedies For Bad Breath
1 Brush and floss teeth regularly. Remember to also brush the tongue to remove bacteria from it’s surface.
2 See a dentist regularly for checkups.
3 Quit smoking or using chewing tobacco.
4 Keep the mouth moist by drinking water regularly and chewing sugarless gum to stimulate the action and production if Saliva.
5 Natural remedies used in the treatment of bad breath include chewing on mint or parlsey.
